Psychological disorders following exposure to trauma include personal suffering, decreased productivity, occupational and social dysfunction, medical disorders and demands on health services. In this talk, Drs. Zoellner and Bryant review current research associated with the persistence of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the variety of viable options that exist for treatment. Speakers also explore treatment options and focus on the effectiveness of both therapies and medications.

  • Hello unseenmirage thank you for pssing by what hurts me so much is the total lack of understanding of my emotional traumathat is Oh so real. they refuses to get give me counselling as they think it will be to raumatic for me). what nonsense then at same time they discharge me from Mental Health Services. just does not make sense. ( rejecton) Is key to my lack of recovery. Hope this makes sense to you. but my fightfor wellness continues. Best Wishes unseenmirage

  • Saw your video and loved it. Great information on Understanding and Treating Chronic Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. You should consider making a course on this. There is site out there called topointc.com. I guess they allow you to post your course for free and every time a student takes your course you get paid. I think your material would do great on a site like that.

  • @poeticpaul i am the same. We must keep letting them come and remembering it is our memories inside and not happened outside. We must get help. You can heal. But this way =what we are going through - is the way to healing. When we go insane oh year ago crap sorry

  • Its 4 years since i was diognosed with PTSD Was as a 3 year old then at 7 and 10 year old and on and on they happen just incredible how I have survived so much I'm 52 now 2 weeks ago I had my worst ever paic attach which put me in yet another death defying situation, I need help before it's to late. I constantly relive the events mixed up with made up disasters a my way of avoiding the real trauma when re living my traumas and when they happened I was above myself watching myself. avaidance????
