you have problems.. just because they dont have there "own" songs doesnt mean you should bash them i want to see you play enter sandman on a cello... or any instrument for that matter in front of a crowd and get applauded at the end if you even make it to the end.

Maybe not here, but depending on equipment or distortion settings, you CAN get a cello to acquire the "guitar sharpness" (if you mean the electric one), and Apocalyptica demonstrate it elsewhere (listen to Refuse/Resist, or Struggle, the studio versions).

The "articulation" makes it sound different (a cello staccato sounds different from the palm mute effect, the sound "drags" rather than "hover in the air"), but ultimately, it's distortion and results in a similar timbre.

Not really - a distorted cello isn't a classical instrument.

Good classical musicians show how awesome classical instruments are ;)

I can't play the cello at all, but playing this song obviously isn't all too difficult - aside from that, their intonation etc. is somewhat sloppy here, the album version sounded much better.

Oh, and yea - they HAVE their own songs. ;)

Friggin brilliant! I'll admit, headbanging while playing the cello looks funny, but they can pull it off! Very talented men!
