@street8487 Well i guess it takes a minute for the line to charge fully. They have to do a 360 of the house and read the smoke, which is crucial so they dont get caught in a flashover or a backdraft. they have to make sure the structure wont collaps during an interior attack and that there isnt anyone in the house before they attack or else the steam would scald them to death. Im just guessing though as im not a fire fighter.
@council43164 you are absolutely right. im a volunteer firefighter myself. people dont take into account that we have lives to. we have families, work that needs done, etc. but when that pager goes off we have to drop whatever we are doing to go answer that call, whatever it may be. it takes time for us to get to the station, then to get geared up and wait for more manpower, then we have to go to the scene. then we have to get water on the fire! nobody understands what we do unless they do it.
@street8487 It is easy to sit here and watch a video saying they are slow, it took them approx 1 minute to start spraying water. That is not bad, there is more to it than just grab a hose and spraying just like that.
Just listening to those speaking, and looking at the house to the left of the fire house I was wondering if this was in the SL valley - and then Unified Fire, Taylorsville pulls up and I knew i was right!
Guess they won't be barbecuing ants again any time soon.
If I were a firedude I woulda sprayed the crap outta that stupid yappin yapdog in the background. Good grief.

@Zoidberg227 I agree. First thing I noticed was the guy with no SCBA or helmet. My Chief would hang me if he ever saw me doing that.
