They were so cruel back in the day. They called Schlitzie "the pinhead", the "last neanderthal", and even "the last of the Aztecs" (of all stupid things).
They kept him in a dress even though he's a boy. They passed him around from circus to circus after his parents sold him, not wanting him because he's deformed and retarded. The promoters traded him back and forth. They even had a daily newspaper comic strip to make jokes of him. To this day, nobody knows his true last name

@510indio - Not sure about Mexican, maybe Chinese because he looks like an abandoned person found in a remote bamboo forest many years ago. Chinese legends say the bigfoot like "Yerin" lives in the same forests, so when locals found this guy with the medical condition, they naturally associated him with the Yerin stories because they are from the very same bamboo forests. Search here for Bigfoot X and there is clip of this same guy, or one just like him in a Chinese bamboo forest.
