  • @sanity599 I have a pile of old drives too, used to work in a repair shop. I still use them, even the small ones you can attach as a slave drive and use them to back up your files.

  • @whiskeyify Well that has not been the case for me on a number of drives.

I have drives going back almost twenty years. I gave away the old ten meg scsi drive that was twenty years old. It still worked but sounded like a fire engine when it started up. The only drives I have that don't work are the ones that failed as soon as the warranty was over. All sata drive.

  • @sanity59 I think sometimes windows won't start...but my taking the drive out and connecting to an adapter like this you can access it.

  • I have two of those three products. They work fine if nothing is wrong with the drive. But if anything, and I mean anything, isn't right with the drive they don't work at all. So don't think these things are going to recover lost files. They will only allow you to get data from good working drives.

  • what if the pcb is fried ? will it still work

  • @kraden18 ......did it work?.....my computer died today...and im thinking about geting this
