People are as poor or as rich as they want to be. What's lacking is financial education, & the drive to go out and learn it on their own.

Kids coming out of school do not know the difference between a Bond or a Stock.

Before the school system was changed, kids would go to school, then learn a trade, then start a Business, the invest in others that were coming up behind them.

I can't feel sorry for someone with their hand out, but refuse to pick up a book.

It's not class envy to point out that over the past 30 years wages have stagnated while incomes at the very top have soared. It's not class envy to point out that in the middle 20th century, the fruits of increased productivity were enjoyed by almost everyone. It's not class envy to want to improve education and job opportunities for kids born into a poor part of town so they have a fair chance. And it's not class envy to be disgusted by the corporate lobbyists' assault on democracy.

Class envy?? We have the biggest income gap in this country since 1929. Trying to stop the income gap from growing, how is that class envy in at all?

And I love these people who didn't say Boo when Bush took us from $237 billion in the black to $1.3 in the red. But now they are all overnight deficit hawks bitching at Obama.
