Saddam had, and used, WMD. He WAS a lying, cheating scumbag who killed even his own people with mustard gas. Fact. So when we gave Saddam warning that we are coming after him, do you think he moved them to Syria or some other safe haven? (which would be the entire middle east, practically.) I don't understand why people put their head in the CNN/NBC/MSNBC sand.

Same idiotic comment I've heard hundreds of times. We gave weapons to Iraq to help ward off, at that time, an evil oppressive Iran. People change every day; and Saddam was no different. He used the very weapons we gave Iraq against us. Does that make our charity to him wrong? Given the circumstances at that time, I don't believe so.
