The Ghost of Family Pets and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart come together for a joyfully morbid romp through their latest single, "Young Adult Friction." If Winona Ryder's character in Beetle Juice got her hands on a super 8 camera and her favorite band, it might turn out something like this.

Directed by Art Boonparn
A Painless Surgery Production

Thanks to AE's Peggy Wang and Jack Porobil, PA's Shirley Braha and Siri Thorson and Ryan Matthew for letting us shoot in his house and jump on his bed.

Cheers to Slumberland and Fortuna Pop!

  • Why would anyone want this on the radio? Please let good stuff only to those who search for it.

  • So I found this awesome T shirt with a unicorn on it right... and it says the pains of being pure at heart on it. So I google that and the first thing that comes up is a song about having sex in a library. Unicorns, Sex, Libraries, New music. I have a feeling today is going to be awesome.

  • @psykostrumpa you're a pretentious hipster

  • i <3 this band...

  • @psykostrumpa Music is not meant to be hidden for only a select few to listen to. Music is meant to be shared, enjoyed, and loved! This should be on the radio because it's absolutely amazing and more people would be able to hear it without having to go by word of mouth. It's a good thing for the public and the artists themselves.

  • @psykostrumpa Because being on the radio helps the band out.

  • @psykostrumpa Why would you not want this on the radio? It's better for the band to get more exposure and more listeners. That whole "it's only cool if nobody knows about it" thing is really stupid. Or it's the "hipster" thing as most people say but damn I hate that word. Oh well, I see you have a whole bunch of thumbs up so I guess there's lots of people out there that want good music to continue going unnoticed (just like all the 90s music that I still love to this day).

  • @psykostrumpa stupid hipster.

  • @psykostrumpa Hipster fag.

  • This song reminds me of being on a 90s sitcom for some reason.

  • @psykostrumpa Hipster mode on

  • @l4ndst4nder Well, almost. It means massive corporations, acting in the pursuit of profit, would begin "producing" similar music to satisfy market interest. Music that exists principally as a commodity isn't really music at all. Turn off your radio.
