Ok so in general you really have to be a Marine to understand why they act the way they do in this show. On top of that you should also probably be ground side- preferably a grunt to understand it in all its depth. I only get half of that- most of you don't get any of it. Why talk shit to everyone? b/c that's what Marines do. No matter who you are someone will find something about you and talk shit. And guess what? You do the same exact thing back. You need to have tough skin to be a Marine.

@scassidy0526 it isn't made to be entertaining. i understand where you are coming from, so do not mistake this for an argument. the show is made to tell the story of those marines. Viewing youtube videos does not give you the full feeling of Generation Kill. You'd have to watch the entire series, to finally understand the bond between these soldiers. The bombing in the video was an accident. The mistake was made by inaccurate coordinates or a misunderstanding. It happens very often in war

I wish they would've canned that fucking stupid motorcycle helmet idea the moment it came up. Nowhere in the two books written about the unit and it's part in the war is it mentioned that a lost Kevlar was replaced with that helmet. FFS, those actors are supposed to be depicting the very best of the Corps, not look like clowns who brings random shit from home along with them to war. Why not release an edited version of BoB and replace someone's helmet with a yellow hard hat while we're at it?
