If probiotic lactobacillus can make the coconut yourt, will the home made yogurt too wp]ork as the starter work the same way? It too is live culture, & works great for making yogurt at home?

I was wondering what you are talking about, till I realized you are talking about kefir (kafeer). It is Kafeer, not keefer, like in keifer sutherland. What is it with the americans, pronoucing all foreign words wrong

I know, I was watching your vid thinking wow! 6 coconuts for one quart!! ka ching!! Can you drink kombucha with Candida? If you can you can also make WATER kefir with just spring water and sugar and a couple of pieces of dried fruit (the little buggers eat the sugars). It is lightly carbonated and sour like a kombucha but is super cheap and is ready in 24 hours!!
Bunny, you should buy live kefir grains. Search for them on etsy. You buy them just once for under $20 and then they just keep growing and growing. And They're alive so that's gotta be better than the dry processed stuff. I'm waiting for my water kefir grains :)

@suebee411 I will buy kefir grains to make milk kefir. I'm not sure I can afford to keep coconut kefir going right now. 6 coconuts to make 2 quarts... that's like $6/quart! I'm looking forward to drinking it, but I don't think coconut kefir is going to be a mainstay for me.
Raw milk kefir on the other hand...LOVE IT, and I agree, I want to buy grains.
