Lol I remember this advert was slammed by the advertising authorities as apparently the video of star wars in the video wasn't from the 32x but a high end pc test console or something. Can't quite remember....

@katakisLives ye I know what you mean the timing was bad and there wassent much point since there where also low amounts of games for it and the next gen was so close but I still think it's pretty cool thing to have since it was the last 2d console/console add on and it wassent a bad idea just a bad time realy

@Bradkalproductions The main problem was it was part of a trend! they should have learned lessons from the Mega CD failure and not repeat the same mistake again! it was widley known that the Saturn was comming and at one point was out in Japan while the 32X was still being flogged in the west! the 32X was too expensive and the games were also too expensive! and it was not a big enough improvement over the Genesis to justify the purchase (its never easy to carry success over a console generation)

@katakisLives it's not rubbish it would have just done better if it was released earlier and as a separate console I think it would have done better so support wouldent die out almost straight after the release all sega wanted to do is make the genesis better but it wasn't successful maybe because they where making the sega saturn when they released the 32x people knew it would be out soon so why buy a 32x?
