Crime Scene: Homicide & Arrest Downtown San Jose, CA ((HD))

San Jose police arrested a 21-year-old youth after witnessing a shooting on the downtown Street corner of Second & Santa Clara Street early this morning. Walter Hughes a San Jose resident, was arrested in connection with the shooting. Lieutenant Mike Sullivan of the San Jose Police Department said that police officers had observed Hughes brandish a hand gun and shoot the 27 year old victim. Officer Sullivan said that Police Officers then chased the suspect to the plaza and parking garage behind the nightclub and it was there they surrounded the suspect and arrested him, a hand gun was recovered. The victim, a San Jose resident, was rushed to a local hospital where later that night secummed to his injuries. The was the 26th Homicide to date in SanJose this year.
