When the 'right' thing is testing for the sake of testing, an analysis devoid of any real insight to ones gains of individual self fulfillment the 'right' things sounds a lot like the thing we ought not aim for. This charter movement makes me sick. Advocates should know that this path they're on will only lead to greater inequalities in our society. Who's funding the showmeinstitute anyway?

  • I'm afraid that doesn't make sense, mpkartist. Charter schools are public schools, and their successes are realized despite the fact that they have LESS funding than traditional public schools. Increased funding doesn't lead to success -- the real difference is in how schools are organized and how students are taught.

  • Liar. Public schools could do anything a "charter school" could do if they were properly funded.

  • Take the time to look up Gulen charter schools. Some schools have a hidden agenda Sonoran Scince academy takes parents, students and teacher to Turkey part of that trip every year is to visit a mosque. Your taxes are paying for these charter schools. Please take the time to google it. Weebly gulen, gulen charter school, charterschoolwatchdog.

  • Very true..thanks for dispelling many charter school myths..
