  • I'm proud to have met Bill during the making of this film. We chatted and viewed film clips together. He gave me a signed copy of his book, and a signed copy of the famous picture of the commandos on Sword Beach. He was a dear man and a pal of my father's from all those years ago. I met him just once, but I knew him all my life. The smile on his face when I showed him the film clip of him marching with my father is an image I will always remember. The film is a tribute all those great men.

  • @Shadowfang3000

Bill Millin was a true Canadian prairie lad....and a hero...

  • A great Canadian....Piper Bill...Unforgettable....

  • Now that's what you call a Scot .

  • To me, this man is the essence of all those who took part in the D-Day landing. Heros, one and all. May what they accomplished never be forgotten.

  • Rest in Peace Bill Millin.

  • Thanks Mr. Grosser for this. Good video, great man.

  • Legend!

  • May lord god bless the veterans of World War 2 deceased and still living my great-uncle Fought in the war and was the only one to see action but missed the landings though I bet if he had ever heard this story I bet it would blow some of his stories out of the water. God bless that mad bastard as the paratrooper sergeant put it so subtly.
