To me, this man is the essence of all those who took part in the D-Day landing. Heros, one and all. May what they accomplished never be forgotten.

Rest in Peace Bill Millin.

May lord god bless the veterans of World War 2 deceased and still living my great-uncle Fought in the war and was the only one to see action but missed the landings though I bet if he had ever heard this story I bet it would blow some of his stories out of the water. God bless that mad bastard as the paratrooper sergeant put it so subtly.
I'm proud to have met Bill during the making of this film. We chatted and viewed film clips together. He gave me a signed copy of his book, and a signed copy of the famous picture of the commandos on Sword Beach. He was a dear man and a pal of my father's from all those years ago. I met him just once, but I knew him all my life. The smile on his face when I showed him the film clip of him marching with my father is an image I will always remember. The film is a tribute all those great men.
