Railway Tales - Ilkeston and Erewash Valley - new local history book

Some of the more than 100 images from the new book 'Railway Tales' published by Ilkeston & District Local History Society (Derbyshire, UK) which details the coming of the railways to Ilkeston & District in 1847, how they affected the lives of ordinary people and how they largely disappeared following the 'Beeching' closures in the 1960's, including many stories and anecdotes from railway workers and local people.
