Why does no one appreciate him? Good mobility, decent arm strength, pretty good decision making, good pocket presence.... and people say he sucks?

watching this video highlights how much grabbing is allowed in college football. The large majority of Barkley's bad throws in college were due to timing disruptions based on holding or contact down the field. Can't do that in the NFL. Think some NFL front offices like Barkley much more than common wisdom suggests - for those running a WC offense

I think it has put a chip on his shoulder, and thats the best part. Matt has ALWAYS been at the front, now that he has to fight I think it will be even better for him. His character is unquestioned, his football IQ as well, now we'll see a part we haven't seen, animosity to prove everyone wrong.

Theres also a great graph of his completion percentage of passes beyond 20 yards, its pretty[good] ridiculous. He made quite a few 50+ yard's over his career and the ones he missed were 75% over thrown to 25% under thrown.

That he put up pretty identical numbers, sans interceptions last year as 2011 is a testament to his ability. He had a very bad O-Line last year, Left tackle was pretty much non existant as was right guard, and our defense couldn't stop a 1 legged drunk! Philly is lucky to have him, he breaks down defenses and goes through progressions better than most. Philly's best QB in a long long time!

I'll will say this about Barkley. Who cares if you have the strongest arm in the world if you can't deliver the football where it needs to be. Barkley has dead on accuracy with the short to intermediate throws and he loves the game which is the one characteristic you look at before think about drafting him.

This arm strength thing is overblown. Why was he a consensus top 10 pick last year, has a rough year with a crumbled USC team, and now suddenly he's an abominable QB? There's something to be said about a kid who could have come out and made millions after his team is slammed with sanctions that he had nothing to do with and his coach bolting because of it, and stayed to try and finish what he went there for. Great QBs also possess great character. Eagles got the steal of the draft. Congrats
