Sam and Max are two animals, one dog and the other rabbit, they are the main stars of a point and click game series that has a ton of humour.
They have starred in a DOS game and animated series but was first introduced in a comic series.
The basic premise of these game is to complete different puzzles in a spesific order, talking to different characters as you go.
In the beginning of each episode Sam and Max get's a call from the commissioner about some criminal who have broken loose and the next thing you know
you have to talk your way to different interactions that leads you to the episode final which is a face off against the criminal.
And let me tell you that the face off's are very all funny.
Every single episode features new characters as well as some that are there in all the episodes. Besides Sam and Max there is a shop owner called Bosco,
always on the run from police who discuises himself and uses a secruity system to keep stolen wares from being brought out but he later has to change it as
the vilains are instead bringing it inside the shop, Sybil a girl who has hard to settle down with a job and has been both tatoo artist and proffesional
vitness. She changes her job in every episode, the Soda poppers, four child actors who fool around and the mouse, Jimmy two teeth, that lives in
Sam and Max's office.
The episodes are between two and three hours long depending on how fast you can figure out what to do...
In each episode Sam and Max uses different weapons and items like a boxing glove, a pistol, a camera, a michrophone, a bottle of spraypaint and every other
thing that comes to mind. They also have a black car that they use to move more quickly.
My favorite part of the whole series so far, and I don't want to spoil anything, is when you starr alongside a cow and a duck, you have to explain to the duck
who the cow is and the different options are real funny...
score board time!
Gameplay: 9/10 It has everything you can ask of a point and click type game.
Graphics: 6/10 Whilst Cartoonish and original their still not really my cup of tea.
Sound/Music: 8/10 Sam and Max has jazz type music with nice drums and a ton of different trumpets and stuff like that. The voice acting is great as well
some voices are just awful but the are ment to be.
Story: 10/10 It's just spot on, great intro, great ending and great everything in between. The writing is just hilarious.
Replay value: 2/10 once you have completed the episode there's really no point in replaying other than if you forgot talking to someone and you want to see
their funny dialouge.
Free +1 (One episode is free and they sometimes make a random episode free for a limited amount of time)
Total: 36/50 Sam and Max is probably one of the funniest games ever released, period! It has nice gameplay, great music and AWESOME story!
Deffiantly worth a buy if you're a point and click fan or maybe you just want to laugh a bit. Cya in the next great ZZreviews, bye!
