Better get your children to learn Mandarin Chinese soon. Trading with Chinese will be financially rewarding and most Chinese in China, i.e. 1/5 of human beings there, don't speak anything else but Chinese, and English just won't get you anywhere there.

The multicultural exchanges resulted in Vietnamese people look MORE like the NORTHERN Chinese than the Khmer people which even Vietnamese sometimes would discriminate against as Khmer people tend to be darker, shorter like Indonesians or Pacific Islanders like the Filipinos.. Chinese is a big melting pot, there is no such thing as pure Chinese now, all got mixed.

@Oceancolour5 Yes, China and VN helped each other during the colonial days. Ho-chi-ming was buddy buddy with Chinese communists before during the 60's. US could never really MOVE into the NV because both USSR & China would then send in armies easily to counter, that's why US only bombed, but could never "move" nor "occupy" NV formally. Anyway, Chinese & Vietnamese are the same to me anyway, I  favor neither as I think lots of true blood Chinese ESCAPED to VN as I said before, on THREE BOATS !
