M3 Evo Nurburgring vs CLK 63 AMG Black Series

This is what happens when a person driving a slightly slower car quickly, comes to overtake a faster car being driven by someone who is not checking their mirrors and is probably being extra careful in their expensive toy!
Bit too close for comfort. I think i was around 3 inches off hitting him, wouldn't of liked to have the discussion about paying for the damage!

well i can't be that rubbish as i have a very respectable lap time for my car, and a race license thanks, and have never damaged my car on the ring either, apart from this close call.

You have to overtake on the left on the Nurburgring (which is why i didn't go around on the karussell), and the guy had been going wide on a number of bends giving me the impression he was going to let me through hence me taking that line when he cut in not watching who was around.

While the video displays it was a very close cal, with all due respect, he had the racing line, so in theory you should have given way until he indicated to allow you passed.

Impression or not, you should wait until he clearly pulls to the right of the track and indicates to allow to pass.

Having said that, he appears to be local, as I've seen that car a few times when I've been over there, so he should know to use his mirrors a bit more!

It is your responsibility as much as it is the other driver's to avoid accidents. You're pointing fingers and acting like a child. You perpetuate a stereotype of M3 drivers who, instead of being a car enthusiast, is arrogant, ignorant, angry, self-indulgent, and child-like.

The CLK is a nice car and just because it's more expensive than an M3 doesn't mean it's not a nice car. Grow up.

@flora5431 Yeah, on the Nurburgring, on a public day, you're on a public road, not a 'race track' in it's strictest definition. On the autobahn, you're supposed to be watching out behind you, and yield to faster traffic, and it's no different on the Nurburgring... of course, not everyone has had the pleasure, and would know ;)
