  • Madam or anyone.. What is that fab tune your playing? Sounds blue grass!

  • @Dravenstars It's actually one of my own tunes. Thanks for calling it "Fab"!

  • Omg I want that guitar so bad <3 btw you're a really good guitar player! :)

  • @ahliistar :) Thank you.

  • Carrie will you marry me? Just saying.

I just picked up a Taylor 710ce. Awesome. BTW, aren't most 700 series are Indian Rosewood back & sides, compared to your mentioning of Koa ? I have a 90s vintage Rivera Sedona amp that rules on acoustics IMO. The DN3 I have sounds somewhat"darker" I think & also amazing. 600 series in Maple OMG !!

  • @CarbonSource Congratulations on your new guitar! Yes, the 700 series is typically Indian Rosewood. This one was a limited edition 700 series guitar, though, thus the Koa wood.

  • @MaxEBra96 It would somewhat depend on your price range and more importantly what tonal properties you want.

  • @ridethatbike76 Thank you!

  • @Dravenstars Thank you! Both Martin and Taylor make great guitars. Play everything you can in your price range and then get the guitar that you don't want to put down once you play it.....the one that "speaks" to you. You can't go wrong when you pick a guitar out that way.

  • @ZeroNitron Both the 714ce and 814ce sound great. The 714ce has a cedar top and has forward shifted braces. The 814ce has a sitka spruce top and sitka CV bracing with relief routs. Personally, I prefer the 814ce.....especially since Taylor began putting the CV bracing in it.

And, no, I don't work for Guitar Center. I work for Portland Music Co.
