@iDJMIXTRESS The kits run about 20 dollars and require you to pluck a few feathers from your bird they can do it with a blood draw but unless your very good with needles do not go sticking your bird. Blood tipped feathers are usually pulled from wing or tail feathers even breast feathers you usually pull about 4-5 feathers out and send them in a test tube to the center and they can tell you with about 99% accuracy what sex your bird is. dnasexing(com) (for birds) is one site that does it.

@iDJMIXTRESS Females lose a lot of vitamins when laying eggs and need the extra boost to there diet anyway breeding or not. Also males will never lay eggs but females will lay eggs if conditions are right even if they don't have a nest. Having them laying will put strain on them so you may want to look into joining a breeder forum for more information and help on the subject. My uncle breeds them he bred the one I have now and the father even with a missing foot is still a successful breeder.

@iDJMIXTRESS You just pull one of the birds feathers out and send it off to be tested you don't need to go to a vet, blood tipped feathers will proved enough for the testing but the kit will tell you how some even use a sample from a brushing of the animals rear end. You CAN get a vet to do it but there are many labs that will do it for a small fee with the kit. So it's just cheaper that way. You may want to look into vitamins and supplements for the birds diet food and water. Most breeders do.

@Crixe buy a dna test. dont i have to go to a vet for that?
my bird cant fly well.. and cant get pregnant because i think it had a previous illness.
my bird acts aggressive around my male bird.. she gets VERY defensive
-
@Crixe my bird is albino.. so it would be difficult to tell by colour.
-
@iDJMIXTRESS You can also buy a DNA test that will sex them for you, females also have wider hips then males so they stand wider on perches then males, so just watch how they act females will tend to be hissy males will tend to be charmers.
-
@iDJMIXTRESS The way you tell if they are male or female is the wing pattern also males tend to be brighter colored then females and females in the grays will have barred on the base of there tails males will lose this when they mature. There is also a pattern on the wings called perils. Males are better mimics and can even speak they also whistle more then females and will often learn songs if you teach them. Behavior wise females are more aggressive and males are more showy around females.
