It's March 27th and new shoots are growing from the vines of Blue-Merle Vineyard in Southern California. Some of the vines have too many shoots and it's time to thin some of them, while leaving some spares in case a storm damages the fragile shoots. The vines shown are Petit Sirah entering their 4th leaf.

  • Where did you get that measurement...???what a load of rubbish...You suppose to leave every second lateral alone that is the ones that are facing up...if there is a double then remove one...If there is a lateral growing from the bud facing down remove that one also...nothing should be growing in the crown...

    Cheers...

  • Thank you!

  • How long does it take you to do 50 blocks of vineyard?
