This weeks photo is a candid image I captured of a really amazing person and business man Yanik Silver. I had the chance to spend some time capturing some images at one of his weekend getaways including this image below

  • 1/5000th of a second at f/4 ISO 500? Why did you choose those settings Jared?

  • @hcoll good question, no real definitive answer just that I wanted to freeze the action and and never dropped my ISO which I could have but I am always watching my SS and F stops.

  • woah, that cone looks really pixelated in colour

  • @cookiepwnsU its prob just the screen.

  • did you vignette control the image in LR3?

  • @100shutters no i dont touch that feature in my photos.

  • Boomness

  • @hcoll You shoot that in Auto? lol

  • great photo!

    what program are you using?

  • ive learned that its better to shoot individual portraits at a low angle and move up gradually to make the subject feel comfortable

  • This is sort of an unrelated question, but how did you record this video? This was the first time I've seen an 'Original' setting for resolution.

  • @JaredPolin Ah. I guess you're used to having your ISO higher as well considering you shoot with a D3s(or was it D3X?). Thanks for replying.
