The only really positive thing I would like to add to your piaffe training is try not to throw away your contact if you can avoid it. I've never seen a horse like yours even get close so I'm really impressed! Can't wait to see how she progreses! Good luck with her :D x

@macsqDressage8 We only really compete showjumping currently.. was aiming to maybe do an ODE with her next year, but definitely want to start some Dressage... so yeah, don't compete dressage currently :)

@Shilott oh lovely! :) how do you teach piaffe??? as i always teach in hand first but always love to hear how others do it and how they're horses responded to the way of teaching :)

@macsqDressage8 I do believe in starting from the ground up, however Jessie lacks a lot of ground respect. I started by teaching her rein back then asking for a trot transition straight of it which encouraged her to bring her hind underneath her. Also half halting in trot then pushing her forward again encouraged this. Doing this for a while gave her the muscle to be able to carry herself in the way necessary for doing Piaffe as well as teaching her collection and getting her back end engaged :)
