How beautiful does Junior Byles' voice sound on this classic tune produced by Lee Perry in 1974.... Many versions have been made, but none as sweet and mellow as this one. This track was re-released by Trojan on a compilation album celebrating hits produced by Perry between 1974-1978 in the legendary Black Ark studio.

he apparently is still bouncing around the streets in Kingston - i saw a somewhat recent Youtube video of him at a European festival doing "Place Called Africa" and it was pretty clear he was not well at all... he just wandered away mid song. there are many tragic figures in reggae, but he has had more than his share of troubles. his wife and kids emigrated to the US in the mid 80's.
