    I fell on the floor laughing at your post. Is this some sort of inside Dude humor? Please let me know if it is. An oat soda is another name for a beer. If you'll notice when Dude asks for ". . two oat sodas" the bartender hands him two bottles of Miller beer (I think they're MGDs)

    Secondly, "Sometimes you eat the bar(bear) Sometimes the bar(bear) eats you." "Bar" is a regional pronunciation of "bear." Mary Chapin Carpenter, "The Bug." is a song full of derivations of this quote. Hilarious!
