The Oconee River Greenway Trail 3-4-2011

New Spot where I was told you could catch Crappie and LM Bass + Big Catfish. Please share in the comments on the best way to attempt to fish here, especially for Crappie.

looks like the river is to high ya got to learn how to fish off of the bank ... get a good rod and reel an egg sinker and box of pink worms and fish on bottom you will get hung by snags but thats where fish are its not easy but a technique you learn wait till it goes down a bit

lol yeah the spot up under the bridge when it hasnt rained in a while it goes dwn a bit but yeah it is a lil bit of a drop but tha river is def a good fishing spot my friends dad has a record 4 biggest channel cat caught in the oconee i think its like 33 lbs which is big 4 a channel

@Clint122 Hey Clint are there any spots towards the right of the boat ramp? I wonder if schools of shad come through there ever? They would make some great whole or cut bait. Shoot me a message if you ever decide to go down there maybe I'll tag along and Film it.

when tha river is down a bit more u can get down there after those rocks on a lil sand bank

Try throwing a spinner bait around the poasts And for crappie I've always had luck with beetle spins or small like 3-4inch senkos
