2009 Mazda CX-9 @ 2009 New York Auto Show

Mazda released this photo and a brief description of the mildly revised 2010 CX-9 this morning.

According to the teaser release, the CX-9 "receives an exterior and interior facelift, added options and reinforced safety features, while further improving Zoom-Zoom driving characteristics."

We're not sure what that last part entails, but we'll be sure to get clarification when the 2010 CX-9 makes its debut at the 2009 New York Auto Show next month.

I absolutely LOVE the smiley front ends on all the Mazdas. BUT, I definitely understand why many don't like it, and in my opinion for sake of sales and appealing to the masses, they should have taken a bit more passive approach.

Man o man i work at Mazda in Australia and i saw the new Mazda 3 even drove it and it looks as bad as it drives... lets hope the CX-9 is'nt the same.

Mazda really fucked up the Speed 3 with the ridiculous smiley face! WTF were they thinking?  They just shot themselves in the foot with this unbelievably bad design. I think they were watching too many anime cartoons...
