And is the opera alluded to in Thackery's novel?
-
Is this the only passage from 'Idomeneo' used in the film?

I have heard Handel's Imeneo, and this isn't Handel. It always irritates me when people don't get their facts strait. How hard can it be?
-
@flexibartr, it was not the magic flute, it was "The abduction form the serilagio.."
-
@Caligula68 which notes would you like removed?...
-
Clearly the work of a young man trying too hard to impress. Too much spice....too many notes...

@feaso Una obra maestra.

@Justen1980 I guess Caligula68 doesn't want to be taken too seriously because she/he a way tried to cite or paraphrase emperor Joseph II with his critique on the Magic Flute. This isn't totally misplaced here because even the composer of the magic flute was still a young man compares to his contemporary J. Haydn.
