The Velvet Fog himself dispensed another soul'ish jazz gem on CBS in '66.....like way to go daddy-o!

  • Thanks for comments fellers....Don't have the Lear version...will have to hear that one....have a good one by Nancy Wilson though. The flip of Lear's version of The Snake is quite cool as well

  • got into this in a big way and can imagine it being big at wigan. Bought a UK lp 'right now' with it on and also has a very close musically version of 'better use your head' (little anthony and imperials) - well worth £15 on stereo CBS. Power of love also came out on US Columbia.

  • I have never heard this before, I thought I had heard them all a dedicated Tormé fan!!!

    Thanks

    Tony

  • Cool , i have this also by Kevin "King" Lear on Page One from 1968,who also covered "The Snake" by Oscar Toney jr. But this is better than his Hammond version.

  • Mel makes everything sound great. Thanks for posting!
