Just a short comparison between these two analog delay pedals. They are similarly priced and close in capabilities. I am using an RG 1421 w/DiMarzio PAF Pros thru a Peavey Classic 30.

  • is it just me or does the malekko sound slightly chorus-y?

  • The cc sounds more organic to my ear, it doesn't muffle the tone of the guitar. The malekko sounds muddy and soft. The clear winner here is the CC.

  • There's 2 adjustments inside the CC for depth & Width of the modulation. I run the depth all the way up & the speed very low.

  • It's nice to see two analog bucket brigade type delays with that charming lo fi tone. Both are reasonable priced as well. I chose the CC because it also does a very nice clean delay as well. But these are both great delays. I am not paying $400 for a delay.

  • Great video! Thanks

  • Great demo. Carbon Copy wins for me...

  • This is an ideal shootout to me. Thanks, dude and well done.

  • Cool comparison...I'm very happy w/my CC....I got a laugh out of your little one wanting to press the "button"...my daughter makes it difficult for me to make videos...at times

  • Thx for comparing the two. The more I listen to the MXR the more I like it. To me it sounds so much better as it has a real vintage touch...but both pedals are great, it always depends what you want to play.
