A clip from Stewart Lee's "Stand-Up Comedian". Recorded at the Glasgow Comedy Festival 2005.

The show is available here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stewart-Lee-Stand-Up-Comedian/dp/B000AOEX40/ref=sr_1_... amongst other places.

This video is of higher quality than the original - these versions are in true widescreen, and are of a higher resolution, as the originals were pretty poorly encoded.

  • Pretty intrepid material for a show in Glasgow...

  • Must have watched this about 60 times now and it still isn't any less funny.

  • The Word is Mightier than the Fist.

That scowly-faced beardo was well aware that if he tried anything the audience would swiftly deposit him outside on his arse in the rainy Glasgow night.

The canny Scotch had paid good money to be delightfully insulted by the supreme master.

Paradoxically, Stuart Lee was never safer than here.

  • @kibk8al

Being Glaswegians the entire audience is without doubt jacked up on heroin and carrying knifes.

  • ahahah, im lovin' the fat guy that near the front that isnt laughing at all...

  • This is one of the funniest pieces of stand up ever.

  • Whichever couple adopted and raised this guy -- good job!

  • A Master at work.

  • @kibk8al that was the point ;D

  • "...Because, technically, I am am Scotch." :D

  • "A man going away there to think about paedophile Braveheart in the privacy of the toilet cubicle"
