OK you all know this was coming. Microsoft this is right from a developer. Any one think they will listen? Probaly not but Mr Bit gets his rant on the Windows UI. This was completely unplanned so forgive the poorer than usual quality. But you can see what we are talking about enough.

@MrDemilord windows 8 is far from a joke, its incredibly original (much like windowsphone7) and quick and simple and attractive, whihc is what consumers, i didnt say developers, are looking for, and it opens doors to a whole new breed(ultrabooks) of consumer devices. see that. developers obviously dont need to see twitter and look at family pictures while typing on word, but the other 99 percent of pc users would love to do such. you guys can stick with xp for a million years

Q1: Do you really think MS wont use the XP kill switch the DRM in it provides for?

Q2: Do you want to use a touch based UI with a keyboard and mouse?

youvw got to be kidding me, developers dont run microsoft, if you are making cow food for mcdanalds cows for their burgers, and mcdanlds says, we want you to make corn for the cows now, who are yout to complain. No kne is forcing yiu onto windows8, and in fact, its a great OS for the adverage human being, which is where microsoft has struggled(marketing to sara and billy who know very little about tech)

@leonscott543 ...while I tend to agree you missed the point. Even today despite its success W7 account for about a third of systems on the market. And about half of software sales are productivity apps for biz and the like. So what MS is doing with METRO is asking developers to more than double their workload for something that only about 1 in 5 or less customers would ask for of have a bad experience with the software. They can't cross compile they actually need to make another UI

@leonscott543 ...I agree "windows8, ....its a great OS for the adverage human" and Bit has said as much to. But the average human don't actually even need a computer at all, for the most part. What has made Windows a power house platform with the market share it has is biz. What W8 is is a platform biz can't really use well or efficiently to get work done....

@leonscott543 ...to use your beef analogue it is more like you tell the meet industry they now need to make burgers out of soy, while there is a market for that with vegetarians, most people who want a burger want a meet one. And end of the day they want to sale their product( software productive people want to buy), not promote vegetarianism (W8 Metro)...their is a market but it is not the core one most paid software are after....
