@pahangdogblack hw fast? hrm... i believe same as cub class motorbike. probably JPJ will classified this motorbike < 150cc. if so, no road tax is required - only insurance & "lesen kenderaan motor (LKM)".

Congrats of a successful mod. Did the chief engineer use his/her brain, without a chimes sounds, this bike are DANGEROUS. Without a cheap battery replacement, this bike is a no-no for low income class people.

And the next catch? Tell me, how are people stay in the flat going to charge up this bikes? What is the battery weight? Can you remove the battery easily and charge it somewhere?

@mourn999 dangerous? i dont think so. the problem about driving a motorbike is not chimes sound but more on reliability of the motorbike & how the driver handle his motorbike. I know because i been driving more than 15 years. no easy la for people living in flat. the battery located lower part of the bike replacing mechanical engine. weight estimate 2-3 kg. Not easy to remove. charging plug located in near the handle. it other word, not practical yet for local market bcs local issues.

I too tried the e-bike last week at COTY @ Matrade. Very quiet and torquey motor but the range is very short - about 20 km only. Modenas should use longer lasting batteries. But that would increase its cost from below RM5k to perhaps RM8k so selling it to the mass public may be a problem. I think it's a good start for EV penetration in Malaysia but only time will tell whether the public will respond favorably.

@junaizee battery last for est.20km. the more juice you squeeze, more it consume. price point - sori la mahal da..intro price should be lower than RM3k. modenas should offer range of battery frm est.20 - 50km. bcs typical range motorcyclist drive from 50 - 70km/ day (est. 30 min driving time). charging would be a problem as well but take 2-3hr. the best option for the mod modenas is ensure easy battery replacement & rent the battery (full charge) at petrol station (charging station).

would add up some travelling time..

Congrats Modenas! I do love the bike but unable to see one on the road yet due to it just launched. I am verry intrested in owning one. As for the range I need more info or a chart for "speed to range ratio" that would help alot. Thx :)

kalo tgk pengeluar lain, bila teknologi baru je pakai design futuristik. modenas rilek je pakai design standard. nak ronda2 kampung takde la org usha sgt. haha
