Occupy Springfield, MO staged a protest event on 11-11-11 (details on another vid). The police arrested 8 protesters who refused to leave the property that we were on. After handcuffing them, they were led to the street and the waiting detention van. We were all wondering why they were just standing around. Then we saw... the keys had been locked inside with the engine running! At one spot, you can see the driver explaining what happened to another officer who is trying not to crack up. More to come...

A large successful corporation was given a sweet deal on prime public real estate in exchange for a promise to bring jobs & tax revenue here. We heard that corp. broke its promise. TWICE.
Our city can buy that property back from the corp. for $1 and allow someone else to develop it, but our city leaders haven't done that.
This could provide jobs and raise tax revenue. We think that public property should be used for the benefit of the public. TODAY, NOT TOMORROW.
