@93MickyD1 lol, now you're just being a douche. I am immune to you.

@93MickyD1 I can certainly grasp the fact that it's just my opinion. I am however backing up my opinion with logical statements that I hope YOU can grasp on some level. I have yet to see a good argument why MMA is not the greatest individual sport other than "it's just your opinion".

@93MickyD1 It is my opinion, but I'm backing it up logically. Since all sports are derived from something, competition, and what is the most basic form of competition? Look at animals. Physical combat. Using your body to injure or kill the other person. Since every sport is derived from that, then why doesn't it make sense that the greatest individual sport would be the one closest to that? You have yet to explain how running can possible incorporate all facets of sport...

@93MickyD1 I hate to use someone else's words, but when someone slams down a dunk over an opponent, he is saying "I kicked your ass, take that." Only, he didn't really kick his ass. The intent is derived from physical combat. Australian football fans are no more virulent than MMA fans, have you ever heard a crowd when it's the 5th round of a championship fight and someone gets rocked by a big knee, and is fighting back to retain his consciousness?
I have a very objective view of sports...
-
@93MickyD1 It's not the supposed derivation, it IS the derivation. Since it is the purest form of competition, yes, the sport closest to it is greatest sport. I don't have an oversized ego, I am objective.

@93MickyD1 "Tennis and Running are the greatest individual sports."
In a world where hitting a ball over a net or running means you have incorporated every skill a human can offer, sure Tennis or Running could then be the best individual sport. But they're not even close. Everything always comes back to physical combat. And yes, all sports are DERIVED from physical combat. Every...single...one. This makes MMA the greatest individual sport right now as it is the closest you can get to that.

the people holding the tape couldnt move two feet for the champion? jeez

@thataintjustice I live in America, we don't use kilometers. I know the definition of jogging. Jesus you people are rabidly defensive about marathons. All I said was it's not the ultimate sport. It's the sport of jogging. That's it. Does it take hard work? Sure! Does it take a sound mind and body and years of training to do at a high level? Absolutely! Is it the "Ultimate Sport!"...no...not even close. Fighting is the ultimate sport. Every other sport is a derivation of physical combat.
I am glad she avoided the idiotic, meaningless short tape they hold there.

I was watching this live on Channel 2 in Chicago. I love how she was hiding.
