  • well said. interesting about the you are whats reflected back to you. i get that all the time. and the constant search to do something meaningful. or if thats not possible. just escape geographically.

  • Thanks so much for your comment. adding meaning in my life has been what has helped me the most... and often it has helped others, so i am so grateful to express or work through my BPD in that way. hope you are well, wherever you may find yourself in the world. best, amanda

  • Hi. thank you so much for putting up this video. I have recently been diagnosed with BPD and I still have no idea what to do. It's really refreshing to hear that other people have the same difficulties with emotions. It's like noone else can understand unless have have been so out of control.

    Thank you, once again.

  • Hi, thanks so much for your comment, i really appreciate it. I wish you well on your journey towards recovery. Sometimes just getting the diagnosis is half the battle, so I hope things will be looking up for you. all my best, amanda.

  • Same song and dance in every case. Childhood abandonment, traumatic event, belief system forms around the core belief of being "unloveable". This core belief is reinforced hundreds upon thousands of times and becomes the reality for the individual who - BECAUSE THEIR CORE BELIEF IS THAT THEY ARE UNLOVEABLE - will subconsciously delete each and every instance of proof that conflicts with that belief. Therapists = clueless as usual. Label, drug, repeat.

  • This is the very time EVER that I hear someone's story--about struggling with a mental illness--that completely resonates with me! This has been an intense moment for me, hearing your story Amanda. Thank you for sharing.

  • Does anyone NOT feel like that? Cause I do. But it's so normal...

  • Hi!

Your video is so raw and real. You can tell it comes from an honest place. I have been struggling since college with a lot of different mental health issues. I am constantly searching for an answer, to what is wrong with me. I suspect bpd might be part of the problem. thanks for sharing your story!
