Why a Police Box?

[Doctor Who is copyright the BBC: respectfully, NO INFRINGEMENT INTENDED]; this is an expositional [additional] scene, literally between "The Eleventh Hour" and "The Beast Below" (a little awkward with Amy's line delivery in spots), but a nice reminder of how the Chameleon Circuit works, and why the TARDIS is a Police Box (as well as why Amy is floating outside the TARDIS at the start of "The Beast Below").

Ok i've watched every epeisode of the new Doctor who series, since David Tennnant so how come i haven't seen this one ? ... Got a feeling it's a deleted scene but not sure. Please correct me if i'm wrong....

The Doctor:every time the TARDIS materializes in a new location within the first nano-second its analyzing its surroundings caclulated a 12 dimensional data map within everything a thousand miles radius and determines which altitode is the best to blend in best with the enviroment(he happily says) ...then it turns into a police telephone box from 1963(he says embaressly) like this message!!!
