PEACE AT LEAST - ROTARY CONNECTION (MINNIE RIPERTON)

One of the best and most unusual Christmas songs ever made. It is about Santa Claus smoking misteltoe and the album cover has him dressed like a hippie smoking a bong. It is from the group Rotary Connection's 1968 Christmas album "Peace" that the late Minnie Riperton was a member of before her solo career. Minnie is best known for her smash hit "Loving You'. She is also known for her abilities in the Whistle Register and possessed a five-octave vocal range but some say it was a six-octave. Whatever it was, I loved her voice and music and like so many other artists that left us too early, I wonder what could have been. She would be proud of her daughter being a regular cast member on SNL. The correct title is Peace At Least but it is listed more than not as Peace At Last (has to be a typo)

This song is available on a rare CD. I purchased the entire album on CD but you can also get this single "Peace at Least" on separate Christmas compilations. Type Peace at Least by Rotary Connection into your search engine and you should find something or some collector. Ciao!

I know the lyrics. The hook says...,He's an institution, we/ they like him like he is...what would ever happen, if he can't talk to the kids?....Those are the lyrics for that part. Let me know if you need more. Basically, the question is, since Santa is such a well known holiday and worldwide institution, we may not want to prevent him from doing what he's done for generations because what would happen if we stopped all the children of the world from greeting and looking forward to Santa Claus?
