  • Do you have the rest of the trials? It seems that only the compulsories are on here I would love to see more of the optionals. Please let me know.

  • No, unfortunately, I don't have any of the others. Sorry!

  • eww. fall fetish much?

  • Actually, this vid is more about her resiliency and ability to finish the routine to make the Olympic Games even after taking that fall. Interesting that you seemed to focus on her fall though.

  • Amy's performance after she hits her eye... then does a standing full on the beam, full twisting flip down to the beam, and then a triple twist dismount... wow... she's good! She's such an amazing gymnasts and I'm so proud of her and glad she went to the Olympics to represent America... she's got guts... and it makes me proud to see her... her Kerri Strug moment.

  • What a trooper, to hit your face on the beam during a back flip and get back up and finish the routine, she's got heart!

  • That is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.

Finishing a routine after crashing out like that so near the start is hard enough, but pulling off that dismount? Faaarken hell.

  • @Mikizzle15 correction: DURING the olympics

  • why did she have so little practice? was she injured?

  • @Tapdancing1 The whole damn video is about the fall stupid. Of coarse thats all they looked at.

  • @Tapdancing1 Oddly enough, I have the whole competition (compulsories and optionals) on tape. I'll see if I can upload it later.

  • Wow, I remember watching this all those years ago!

  • Okay so I have a serious question. That move she does on 1:13-1:15 when she straddles the beam. Is that one of the reasons why guys don't do balance beam?

  • @Mikizzle15 Hmm, good point. Thank you for sharing, and I'd have to say that I agree. :)

  • @Imaginary114 I don't think so. I think Amanda borden was the last one because she wasn't the most amazing, but she had the most heart. Amanda struggled the most out of the Mag 7 to ensure her spot on the team. But I think that Amy's difficulty came from being so inexperienced. She had competed the least out of all the girls so it was hard for her to be consistent. But non-the-less, Amy was an AMAZING gymnast and truely came into her own as a gymnast after the Olympics.

  • that's one tough cookie...haha
