Come Dive with Jellies - Jellyfish Rock!

This video played at the "Jellyfish ROCK!" event at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History on November 19, 2010 where the Global Jellyfish Group presented information about jellies and jellyfish blooms.

The event was sponsored by UCSB's National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS.) Other organizations partnering with SBMNH include Aquarium Of the Pacific, Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea (COMPASS,) Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI), Blue Ocean Productions, Dauphin Island Sea Lab, and Discovery Channel.

In addition, "Jellyfish ROCKS" features artwork that is the result of the creative efforts of children from fourteen countries and four U.S. States.

Jellyfish are extraordinary:over 90% made of water:the rest of minerals and protein:and the colour changes are breathtakingly beautiful:sad to see them netted like that.
