After getting everything powered on and connected to the network, we pushed an updated image to the new HP T5470e Thin Clients in the open area of this new lab in about 28 minutes. The Disk image is 4 Gig on the servers hard drive but really the WES7 image is about 2 Gig. The virtual server (running HP Device manager) was running around 5-6 Gbps network IO, with 70% CPU utilization. The clients each pull the image via FTP from the server.
If you think of that in terms of amount of time per device that ends up around 11 seconds each to image.
I know the dude at HP who wrote the imaging software. :D
