One of my very favorite places on earth. Spent many vacations as a kid around BV and finally took a vacation out to CO from NC last year - Had to show my kids the BV area and Cottonwood Pass-They loved it! Thanks for sharing.

I am looking forward to moving my family and myself back out to Colorado in a couple of years...I scattered my fathers ashes at the top of the pass, because that is where he was the happiest. I'll visit soon, and take my kids to see their Grandpa's favorite place.

This was very nice to see. Used to live there in the 1960-early 1970's even went to school in BV. Someways it changed but I see a lot has not. Very nice memory

I've visited BV,,,,love it,,,I wish i can move to bv right now--but my soul sucking job(good pay) keeps me in ky
I lost my father on Cottonwood Pass when I was overseas in Desert Storm. He was caught in an avalanche on his snowmobile...this was very hard to watch, but I still love the place. He died loving Colorado, and everything that goes with it. Rest in peace, Lloyd (Dad). I will love and miss you always. r/s-your son, Mark

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, that has to make seeing and traveling on Cottonwood very difficult. Thanks for sharing that.

Another great video by you! My dad as a professor and took the summers of to disperse camp along the old Cottonroad pass road (now the new Cottonroad Pass road as of 1988?). I spent every summer camping in a tent for the first 16 years of my childhood. I didn't realize how lucky I was back then. Thanks for the video

Very nice video! I actually live there, it's easy to forget how beautiful it is. When you see it every day you kind off look past everything, you know tunnel vision, hehe.

Ha, yes. I love visiting there. But I do get to see Pikes Peak everyday, so no complaints!
