A beautiful white tube tornado formed about 2 miles north of us along the KS/OK border. Dust cloud and great structure added up to a fantastic tornado!!

  • @mattch49 You really need to chill out. I'm so tired of people judging what they weren't apart of. The highway was a flat, open, very unpopulated piece of road. Maybe you're not familiar with these kinds of roads, but if there's no one around, who the hell are we harming? How dare you judge?? And how dare you tell me that I need to grow up? I could say the same thing about sky divers, race car drivers, scuba divers, sports players and everyone else with a "dangerous" hobby to grow up too.

  • Speeding and screaming. Fail

  • @thundersnow9

Awesome to hear... I wish you luck and safe travels in your future chases.

  • @mattch49 I understand what you're saying. But I don't appreciate being fronted like that. I really don't feel like you've had any respect for me at all since the beginning of this conversation. As you've already admitted to Thundersnow we weren't endangering anyone, so what are we still arguing about? As stated already, we've gotten into situations this year where chasing as we have as allowed us to see features and call it in to the weather service, without endangering anyone else.

  • @mattch49 That's genuine advice, and I appreciate it. I've seen several videos of chasers doing some pretty stupid things on the road, and I don't want to be categorized in that group for sure. I know that you're on here protecting our hobby, and I can assure you that my friends and I are not yahoos out for an adrenaline rush.

  • @thundersnow9

And I agree with your opinion that you didn't recklessly endanger anyone THIS time. My point was to simply point out that the actions in THIS specific video do not shine well upon you or whoever you've got driving the vehicle. You never know who could be looking at this video, it could be someone you'll wish to impress one day. Do you wish to be known as chasers who do not take into account their own lives and drive unsafely on public roads, or perhaps something more positive?

  • @mattch49 When I saw my first tornado, I had the opportunity to help a family whose house was destroyed. I agree, it certainly brought mixed emotions. When I see a tornado I still get excited and vocalize it, especially when it's a tornado like this in an open field. We put video online to share it with people who are interested, if you don't like the audio then just mute it. As for the driving, I stand by my opinion that the video is evidence that we did not recklessly endanger anyone.
