Here is an original/restored 1917 Curtiss Jenny Biplane including the original Curtiss OX-5 90hp V8 Water Cooled engine during an engine run up. Pretty cool to see the exposed rocker arms. Jenny's were built as WWI trainers. This plane was owned by the Localy Famous Wally Olson. Wally was the founder of the Evergreen Airport in Evergreen WA. He died in 1997. Airport closed in 2006 by the city, What a shame! We all lost a lot of aviation history!

  • WOW, NOW THATS AN ANTIQUE

  • I miss old 59S. Got my private there.

  • Im 15 years old and havn't been to an airshow at Evergreen. Since it is torn down now, I spend my weekends metal detecting there. sure is fun. :)

  • Wally was a special guy. I used to hang around Evergreen a LOT. Everybody knew Wally

  • @over9000christian So what does your ignorant, uneducated ill timed, ill informed and illusionary fairy tale for the weak have to do with the curtis JN-4? People like you are the reason the rest of us either fly and or ride motorcycles...to get away from crazies like you.

  • Have you ever set this plane up as a static display for Air shows? If so i am interested in our upcoming Show.

  • its a shame to lose a great airport like that. wally was a good person not only did he teach me to fly but also got to work on his planes and ended up flying all of them that i work. he once said to me is it fix and i reply yes and then with a smile he said cant let a student in it till you fly it. gave me a smile and turned and walk away. after that i work on his planes all the time.. sure miss those days.. chuck lloyd

  • It's always scared me, the thought of starting a plane like that. I'm sure it's safe with the right know how, but I've never had the chance to be taught.
