Is there a difference between praying to Jesus and praying to the Father in the name of Jesus?

God is one in essence. So my personal opinion is that it doesn't really matter which member of the Trinity you're praying to. As long as you pray, asking and in the name of Jesus, who is the one who has the merit for your prayers to be heard and is our Mediator.

I would say no - Both are effectively talking to yourself. There is no invisible person or persons there to hear you.
One pair of hands working does more good than one thousand pairs of hands clasped in prayer.

Big difference between fairy tales and Bible. like comparing history is fairy tale your deluded %$@! to think history real and waste of trees.

to candocownz- i understand your reasoning of science and philosophy. It sounds as though you are a student of each. As someone who I'm assuming enjoys learning, I would imagine you would also enjoy learning from both sides of the coin. If you're willing, I think you might find the "Truth Project", created by Dr. Del Tackett to be rather stimulating as he delves deeply into both science and philosophy in his series. If anything, you will learn some neat history you may not have known.

You're assuming many things and you're getting mad and offended a lot so I'll stop arguing now because you're getting offended. I'll pray for you brother.

@candcownz I love my mother and my wife and my family..... Do I need grace from your imaginary god who says I DESERVE eternal torture because I simply cannot believe he exists due to lack of evidence..... Why did you mention grace? I do have love though.... I really find it offensive and rather pathetic that you think I cannot have a very human emotion like love simply because I do not believe in your myth... I'm not an animal you know....

@tempemonkey2323 I can tell you. Love and grace. Think about it.

@candcownz Everything comes from philosophy.... Science is the child of philosophy and the two are still closely linked.... Philosophy has brought us the world we live in today with all the things we enjoy.... People claiming to talk to imaginary beings have brought us nothing but wars and rejections of science..... Name me one thing a religious person has ever brought to this world that science or philosophy could not have.... There is no reason to believe or trust in your fairy tales...

1 Corinthians 1:25-29 Have faith brothers.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I watch all of them but this one is particularly enjoyable because you can just see the joy Pastor John gets when he talks about the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
He's my pastor and I can tell you that he's this way in person, too. He sincerely cares for his flock and is always available to people. He gives you his undivided attention and honest thoughts. I say this not to glorify him, but to testify to his sincerity and heart.

I just pray to the Father in the name of Jesus because that is what the Bible says.
