  • job description: maid, servant, mama, baby sitter, housekeeper, punching bag, whipping bag, psychiatrist, security guard, unit secretary, furniture mover, animal wrangler, body guard. that is just off the top of my head. i joke that i am a nurse, so that i can get paid to be co-dependent. i've been one for 15 years, i'm not gonna quit anytime soon, just people who want to go into nsg, need to be prepared.

  • I think this is the job for me... I love to help people. It makes me happy to know that I saved a person's life.

  • Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter's or sculptor's work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts. ~Florence Nightingale

  • @Apink420 Only in bad nursing homes is the environment dirty. Many centers in my area are very clean. Yes, you will get the occasional odor due to the nature of the home (ie number of incontinent people etc) but most facilities keep it well contained. And you think nursing homes are depressing? I would suggest not working in cancer units then.

  • @amnaamna1 just do your research about them and i think they pay heaps of money . now i'm in year 10 (high school) and i'm now planning to be a registered nurse and do lots of research about them. the thing scares A LOT for me is the examination ..

  • Nursing schools are like McDonald's there is one every ten miles.

  • @amnaamna1 it isn't bad, it's just hard. what you get paid depends on your education, where you work, and your experience.

  • @tranurse omg i was planing to get into nursing is that bad how much do you get paid ?
