I thought I'd try something different with a ground fogger. I wondered if it was possible to use a ground fogger with a home-made fog chiller. I used a 400w Ground Fogger that is typically sold at Walmart / Party Warehouse / Costco for about $30 and I made a fog chiller using a styrofoam ice chest from Smart & Final. I used the ground fog juice that was included with the fog machine. I also had 21 lbs of ice. The fog chiller design was based on one I saw on this site: http://www.instructables.com/id/Super-Cheap-and-Easy-Fog-Chiller/

Total cost was less than $20 for the fog chiller.

  • I have the same fogger but the pump is not pulling in liquid...do you know any way to fix it?

  • @skookmachuck Is this a brand new one? Or have you used it before? If you've used it before, it's possible that some of the fog fluid is dried out and clogging the intake tube. What I do after I use mine is to fill the fog fluid reservoir with distilled water and let the fog machine run. That should clean out all of the leftover fog fluid in the tube and the pump.

  • so do u put the bag over the tube? or above it?

  • @trainlova12 You actually put the tube in the bag and use a rubberband to hold the bag in place. Then you cut a long slit at the other end of the bag (horizontally) so that when the fog goes through the bag, it's compressed and is heavy and stays close to the ground for a longer time.

  • If you use it indoors, will it mess up anything in the house, for example electronics?

  • It's best if you don't use it inside unless you've got some windows open. The fog juice is water-based, so in large amounts it could leave some traces of moisture.

  • great video!! helped me out a lot. your voice is very relaxing as well.

  • instead of a dryer hose inside of the cooler, you can use chicken coup wire and make it into a cylinder, so when its filled with ice it pretty much makes a open tube so the fog is directly exposed to the ice.
