Hey dude, cheers for the message. I've been playing bass since September 2001 now - sounds like a long time when you put it like that. And I'm playing a Musicman StingRay 5 String. Is yours a 4 string? Cool videos too man - keep it up, really liked the slap thing, you've got a really good groove.

... but also find your own musical path and voice. Listen to lots of types of music, but don't feel you have to enjoy it all. When playing bass I'd make sure your technique and the way you physically play the bass is good as it can cause physical problems if its not - RSI, damaged ligaments - that kinda thing. Maybe try learning songs by ear a go as it improves your musical ear. And also its important to know it does take effort to get to a standard you want. Hope this helps. Thanks again, -Rob
