I understand this is a live recording, so everything isn't perfect, but I REALLY prefer Nobuko Imai's recording of this suite. It is without accompaniment, but it is absolutely breath taking.

I can't think of any that sound flat out better, but I can think of several that are as good.

Look up David Aaron Carpenter. I'm pretty sure he could outplay Bashmet currently.

Actually, I really enjoy this orchestrated version of the solo suite. Since it was originally written for solo viola, don't hate on it. And Bashmet orchestrated it himself.

@bob1dole WHHATTTT? Yes of course technically we maybe can outplay but he can not outplay Bashmets genius.
